Frogs and Chicken Wire - Floristry 101

Service Description

Session 4 of our Spring Floristry 101 Each session will feature a range of different flowers, I’ll run you though a bit of background on the unique properties of each flower or foliage and how to condition them. I’ll then give you a demo on or workshop topic that week and then it’s over to you to make your creations! You’ll get to take flowers home with you and with the right care and attention they should stay fresh right up to our next workshop date. We provide all the tools you need in the sessions. Flower frogs and chicken wire Flower frogs and chicken wire are both tools used in floral design to help create and support arrangements in containers. They provide a structure for the flowers, ensuring stability and proper placement. Both these methods allow us to sculpture our flowers in a more natural way so we will be looking at our individual stems, their form and how to balance them to create a show stopping piece. You’ll get the choice of using a frog or chicken wire. We provide: Flowers, Foliage, Frogs, Chicken wire and tools. You provide: A deep dish or a shallow bowl.
